The best man for the job
"No matter how brilliant a coach someone from abroad may be, it is a betrayal of Englishmen and England fans. We want an English manager that we can relate to. We all support the England team and part of that is an English manager. I expect the players and the manager to be English."
"I've been observing various polls on various websites (BBC Sport, Football365.com and The Guardian) over the last few weeks. All have had Big Phil, Guus Hiddink or Martin O'Neill right up there as favourites for the role, with McLaren the nearest English contender in 4th. Looking at the current polls, the Beebs poll says that 65% believe Scolari is the man for the job, while on Football365.com it's a stonking 89%."
